Harmber
Overview
Harmber does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. The app works entirely on your device. No account. No cloud sync of personal information. No tracking.
This Privacy Policy explains how Harmber handles information in connection with your use of the Harmber Android application and website at harmber.xyz. By using Harmber, you agree to the practices described here.
Data We Collect
Harmber collects the absolute minimum required for core functionality. The following non-personal data may be processed:
- Search queries — sent to the music source (e.g. YouTube) to fetch results. We do not log or store these.
- Playback requests — stream URLs are fetched on-demand and returned to your device. No history is recorded by us.
- Crash reports — anonymised device-level reports with no personal information or identifiers.
None of the above is tied to a user identity, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Third-Party Services
Harmber integrates with external services that have their own privacy policies.
YouTube Integration
Harmber uses the YouTube Data API. By using Harmber's YouTube features, you are also subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
Harmber does not cache, store, or retransmit YouTube content beyond what is necessary to play a track during an active session.
Discord Integration
When Discord rich presence is enabled, Harmber communicates with the Discord app on your device via the local Discord IPC socket. This is entirely optional and can be disabled in Settings. No data is sent to Harmber's servers as part of this feature.
Local Storage
All preferences, playlists, and settings are stored locally on your device using Android's standard storage APIs. This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling Harmber removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
Harmber is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through Harmber, please contact us.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of Harmber after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
